RESTON, Va., Oct. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- 1Rivet, a U.S.-based consulting firm, will begin operating in Toronto as the company expands its North American footprint.
1Rivet consults with top companies on IT mergers, acquisitions and integrations; cloud-based innovations including machine learning, AI and IOT; application design and implementation; data visualization and analytics; and delivery management and customer experience.
The decision to expand to Toronto was driven by proximity to the company's client roster and offices, the ability to provide a "near-shore" execution model and the opportunity to realize business and technology value in the financial services, telecom and energy sectors.
The thriving tech industry corridor from Toronto to Waterloo also factored into the company's decision to grow its base, as there is a large and diverse pool of tech talent that 1Rivet will attract.
"1Rivet's executive team has years of experience in the Canadian market," said 1Rivet CEO Eric Middleton. "We understand the Canadian business and tech industry and we are excited to expand our offerings into Toronto."
Toronto clients will now have the ability to capitalize on 1Rivet's core technology consulting offerings of data integration and migration, data manipulation, validation and analytics, program management and efficient programming solutions.
"Having been born and raised in Toronto, I've seen the city grow into a world-class technology hub – Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon all have a significant presence within the Greater Toronto Area," said 1Rivet Toronto's Managing Director Randy Tupaz. "Couple that with a tech-friendly government that sees benefit in the ecosystem, and we will continue to see the industry flourish for years."
1Rivet will host a launch of its new Toronto base Thursday, Oct. 26, in King West Village, the home of the city' burgeoning tech scene.
