200th Falcon 7X Enters Completion Featuring a Host of New Customer Options

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Assembly of the 200^th Falcon 7X has been completed at Dassault's Bordeaux-Merignac facility in southern France. The aircraft enters final completion this week.

Dassault Falcon has already delivered over 150 Falcon 7X's and another eighty are in various stage of production. The Falcon 7X fleet has accumulated over 130,000 flight hours since the first aircraft went into service in 2007, and is in operation in 32 different countries. Since the entry into service of the airplane five years ago, Dassault has developed dozens of new options that give customers a wide range of desirable features.

New Cabin Options Enhance the Business Traveling Experience

In particular; Dassault has focused on continuing to develop features that increase cabin comfort. Most recently, Dassault introduced a shower option for the 7X that has many of the features you might find at home. "Innovative thinking and clever use of space provides a showering and changing area expressly for those long trips our owners take so frequently," said Rosanvallon." These are people who often work day and night but want to arrive fresh and ready for business."

A new cabin entertainment system equipped with business aviation's first interactive 3D moving map is also now standard for Falcon 7X customers. Known as FalconCabin HD⁺, the system features a Rockwell Collins Airshow® 3D Moving Map and a touch-screen programmable panel that allows passengers to easily access cabin controls and entertainment content. Falcon Cabin HD⁺ also includes the first audio/video on demand (AVOD) solution to be offered on a new business aircraft. The AVOD feature allows content to be loaded and viewed simultaneously or individually on multiple displays.

The Falcon 7X BMW Interior Option, launched in 2009, introduced subtle curves throughout the interior, creating better flow and visually expanding the cabin. The interior features new cabin lighting technologies with up-wash and down-wash ambient lights that, when combined with more design contrast, emphasize openness, spaciousness and comfort.

Increased Situational Awareness in the Cockpit

EASy II, the next version of Dassault's award winning EASy Flight Deck, will be available on the Falcon 7X at the end of 2012. EASy II will bring a number of cutting-edge options to the cockpit that enhance safety and situational awareness. These include synthetic vision, automatic descent mode, XM graphical Weather and ADS-B Out. The suite also includes two novel communications features, FANS 1A and CPDLC, which are compliant with Europe's new data link mandate.

An Enhanced Flight Vision System (EVS) option, certified in 2010, features a real time head up terrain display that increases pilot situational awareness, especially in low visibility approaches. The EVS allows the Falcon 7X to perform approaches below standard published minimums down to a 100-foot decision height.

The 5,950 nm Falcon 7X is the first business jet to incorporate a Digital Flight Control System, which provides a greater safety envelope and a smother flight. The Falcon 7X was the first large cabin jet to be simultaneously certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on April 27, 2007. It's powered by three highly reliable and efficient Pratt & Whinteny Canada PW307A engines and offers 15-30% greater fuel efficiency than aircraft in the large cabin, long range class.
