2010 List of 'Top Doctors in Dallas' Features Texas Institute for Surgery Physicians

DALLAS, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 60 physicians credentialed to practice at Texas Institute for Surgery At Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas were recognized by D Magazine at its annual Best Doctors event Wednesday at The Westin Galleria.

Texas Institute for Surgery offers a full range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, pain management and ENT, among others. D Magazine recognized surgeons from nearly every specialty offered at TIS.

The specialty surgical hospital was founded in 2004. It was the first hospital in Dallas to offer wireless HD technology in its operating rooms. This technology allows for greater surgeon flexibility in positioning the surgical monitors during procedures, decreased operating room clutter, and less downtime due to cable breakage.

TIS has received the Dallas 100 Award from the SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship for six consecutive years. The award recognizes North Texas area's top 100 fastest-growing privately held companies. TIS also was a winner in the 2010 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Awards.
