WARRENDALE, Pa., March 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The SAE Foundation will honor leaders in the mobility industry at its banquet on May 20, 2010, at The Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn, Mich. The theme of this year's banquet is "Engineering Change: Driving a Strong Economy through Education."
The SAE Foundation will honor award recipients for both 2009 and 2010. No banquet was held last year because of economic conditions.
Industry Leadership Awards will be presented to Rodney O'Neal (2010), CEO and president of Delphi, and Jim Press (2009), a consultant and advisor, and former vice chairman and president of Chrysler, and president and CEO of Toyota Motors North America. Both O'Neal and Press will make speeches during the ceremony.
In addition, Young Manufacturing Leadership Awards for 2009 and 2010 will be presented. 2010 honorees are still being selected. 2009 honorees include:
- Lucas Frank - Program management specialist, Chrysler;
- Matt Gaw - Worldwide hose assembly manager, Caterpillar;
- Bruno Monsarrat - Research officer and project manager, Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Centre of the Institute for Aerospace Research, National Research Council Canada of Montreal;
- Mohammed A. Omar - Assistant professor of mechanical engineering, International Center for Automotive Research, Clemson University; and
- Laura Siedel, Dimensional quality lead, volt battery launch team, General Motors Corp.
