2015 Ford F-150 Concept Trucks with LEER 700 Tonneaus Win SEMA Awards

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMA Booth #31119 -- At SEMA this week, 700 tonneaus from LEER®, North America's leading manufacturer of fiberglass truck caps and tonneaus for more than 40 years, are high-profile components of two award-winning F-150 concept trucks. Winners of SEMA Achievement Awards, a pair of Ford pickups feature LEER 700 tonneaus – one on a F-150 in stunning white created by MAD Industries, and a second on a F-150 in silver from TS Designs. Both vehicles are on display in the Ford booth (#22200).
The LEER 700 is specifically designed to accentuate the lines of Ford F-150s. High-performance features include LEER twist handle locks with flip-up weather covers, automotive style rotary latches, DuPont automotive high-gloss paint, LEER SuperLift system and an interior headliner.
In addition to these award-winning concept vehicles, LEER caps are showing up in other SEMA exhibitor booths. An unusual application for a LEER pickup cap is on display at the NASCAR booth (#22299). The LEER 100RCC mounted onto a Toyota Tundra has been modified to accommodate Air Titan II equipment designed to dry racetrack surfaces. The powerful equipment delivers air at a speed of 568 mph, and could fill the Goodyear blimp in 3.4 minutes.
In the Toyota booth (#24700), the LEER 100XR cap is also mounted on a Tundra and customized for chef Tim Love. This unique pickup is the ultimate tailgating machine, including built-in LCD TVs, stereo sound, gas grill and other event necessities.
