Initially opening in only one theater in Houston, TX, the documentary has expanded to 1,091 theaters and will increase to almost 1,800 theaters by the weekend.

Generating $10.6 million since its release seven weeks ago, "2016: Obama's America" has grown its cumulative box office by 341% since it took in more than $31,000 from its opening weekend in a singular Houston theater location. Texas continues to drive revenue with five of the film's top-10 grossing theatres coming from the state. While California and New York are listed in the top-10 states that have contributed the most to the documentary's box office due to the large size of their respective populations, individual markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City are part of the lowest performing areas by contrast to the norm.
