2016 Power Triumph Games Announces Power Coach Team
14 Power Home Remodeling military veteran employees selected to join the games
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- OurVetSuccess today announced the names of the Power Coach team featured in the 2016 Power Triumph Games in which 10 military veteran athletes will compete to win a $50,000 cash prize and prove they are triumphant. The Power Home Remodeling coaches, a select group of Power military veteran employees, will participate in the Power Triumph Games — airing on CBS Sports Network Mondays at 9:00 PM (EDT) beginning on October 31st, and on CBS Sports on November 19th, at 2:00 PM (EST) — by supporting their assigned athlete with information, mental and physical strategy, tactical support and encouragement.
The Power Coaches were selected based on their military experience and leadership roles in the Power Veterans Initiative — the company's one-of-a-kind program to recruit, train and develop military veterans for successful careers. Each Triumph Games athlete was assigned a Power Coach. Throughout the week of competition, the coaches received advance information about each of the eight challenges the athletes would face, along with critical insight into success factors for the competition. Coaches strategized with their athletes and helped push them to exceed their own expectations.
The Power Coaching team includes the following leaders at Power:
- Cade Carlton- Marine Corps, Project Manager, Atlanta Territory
- Cody Neimeyer- Marine Corps, Remodeling Consultant, Maryland Territory
- Coleman Payne- Marine Corps, Remodeling Consultant, Houston Territory
- James Lugo- Air Force, Remodeling Consultant, Long Island Territory
- Lillian Anderson- Army, Purchasing Agent, Philadelphia Territory
- Nicholas DeGrazia- Army, Marketing, Boston Territory
- Niko Bulin- Marine Corps, Remodeling Consultant, Chicago Territory
- Joe Calamari- Navy, Marketing, Connecticut Territory
- Rafael Soto Liriano- Marine Corps, Remodeling Consultant, New Jersey Territory
In addition to the Power Coach team, four Power military veteran employees joined the Triumph Games to serve as Range Safety Officers. Given the Triumph Games challenged athletes to compete in events that were announced upon their arrival, and that, in many cases, they had not previously encountered, safety was an essential element of the program. The RSOs played a key role in keeping the athletes safe, and monitoring athlete progress throughout each of the eight challenges.
Power Range Safety Officers include:
Michael Hansen- Marine Corps, Director of Veterans Affairs, Power Headquarters
James Miller- Marine Corps, Remodeling Consultant, Philadelphia Territory
Damon Gabriel- Marine Corps, Quality Assurance Manager, Atlanta Territory
Jennifer Seitz- Navy, Manager, Corporate Travel
"We have seen first hand that Post-9/11 veterans represent some of the greatest untapped potential our generation has to offer — and that's why we want them to work at Power. This special group of current employees who served as Power Coaches truly exemplify that potential and opportunity in their military spirit, professional talent, and personal commitment to the values that are the building blocks of achieving the American dream," said Asher Raphael, Power's Co-Chief Executive Officer.
Mary L. Hagy, CEO of OurVetSuccess added, "The virtually-instant bond that formed between the Triumph Games athletes and the Power Coaches was a unique element to the competition this year. It clearly demonstrates the life-long connection veterans have with one another — regardless of circumstance or environment. We are extremely proud and honored to have the Power Veterans as Coaches in the Triumph Games this year."
