35 IC Vendors Already Adopted Allegro DVT HEVC/H.265 Compliance Streams

At DAC 2014, just 18 months after introduction, Allegro DVT is pleased to announce having licensed its HEVC/H.265 compliance streams to 35 major IC vendors in China, Europe, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the U.S. (See some of our customer references here.)

Having gained true market recognition with our deep expertise on HEVC/H.265 compression, adoption of our test suites is now spreading quickly, making our HEVC/H.265 compliance streams an industry de-facto standard.

Allegro DVT is the only company providing a comprehensive solution for HEVC/H.265 decoder validation, including:

• Syntax streams: ensure that decoders support all HEVC/H.265 coding tools.
• Stress streams: test decoding speed (i.e. capability to decode worst case streams in real-time).

These new products support the following Range Extensions profiles: Main12, Main 4:2:2 10, Main 4:2:2 12. The HEVC/H.265 Range Extensions specification brings support for enhanced video formats such as 4:2:2/4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling and higher color bit depth. This new specification is expected to be widely used in professional broadcast applications.
