3BLACKDOT Announces Strategic Partnership with Legendary Entertainment

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- 3BLACKDOT ("3BD"), the influencer driven entertainment startup, just accelerated its mission of bringing gaming culture into the mainstream: today the company announced that it has received an investment from Legendary Entertainment as part of a broad strategic partnership between the two companies. As a result of the investment, 3BD and Legendary Digital Networks ("LDN") will build a partnership focused on delivering audience engagement, driving gaming culture and developing entertainment properties on multiple platforms. The deal was led by current CEO of Phase2Media and former Fox Television Chairman Sandy Grushow, a member of 3BD's Board of Advisors.

3BD, launched in 2013, made headlines over the past two years for its two successful game releases and its industry-changing network, JETPAK. The new partnership with Legendary will allow the company to expand its reach into additional outlets including content, merchandise, game distribution, and live events, in addition to accelerating its upcoming slate of video game and content releases. 3BD will develop and curate games, content, merchandise and events for its immense audience of almost 50 million engaged people, with the mission of influencing gaming culture and introducing it to a broader and more mainstream audience.

Additionally, Legendary will look to co-develop original content in conjunction with 3BD and its creative talent, the first of which will be an upcoming feature film that is currently in development.
