45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair 2010 About to Dazzle on February 26 Until March 2 Under the 'Power of Nature, Power of Gems & Jewelry' Theme

BANGKOK, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- With the 45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair 2010 about to dazzle on February 26 until March 2, the Thai Gems and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) and the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair (BGJF) again will welcome thousands and thousands of buyers, manufacturers, importers as well as exporters in the gem and jewelry industry under one roof at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, with full capacity of 70,000 square meters, to experience the variety of exciting activities for the recorded 3,500 exhibition booths.

The 45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair showcases the world-class skills of Thailand's home-grown artisans, encouraging industry links with traders from around the globe and offering participants the chance to take advantage of being at the center of the gem industry.

The BGJF is now internationally recognized as one of the top five gems and jewelry exhibitions in the world. It is also a proactive platform from which to promote Thai gems and jewelry on the international stage and further cement Thailand's image as the leading source of the highest quality gemstones, created by the world's finest craftsmen.  

To provide media an overview of the 45th edition of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, a press conference was held on February 17 at The Shangri-La Hotel by the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA). The event saw Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, Director General of the Department of Export Promotion, who presided over the event as the chairman and gave the opening speech, followed by Mr. Vichai Assarasakorn, President of Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, and of course, Mr. Somchai Phornchindarak, the CEO - Organizing Committee of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair. All three distinguished individuals have shared their vision and expectation to ensure that every effort will be made to promote Thailand to become the world's gem and jewelry hub.

The fair will feature many special attractions such as TGJ Elite Creations, the Hot 2010 Pavilion, Design Pavilion, Diamond Fine Pavilion and Business Matching. The Thailand International Jewelry Award 2011 will also be featured.

Another event not to be missed is the extravaganza thank-you party hosted by the organizers to thank all related partners who share the success of the fair. The party will be held at The Royal Jubilee Grand Hall located at the ground floor of the exhibition center on February 27 from 17.00 hrs onwards. Renowned "Modern Dog" Thai band will entertain guests during the party.

The press conference ended with a dazzling fashion show displaying ten elaborate sets of prestigious jewelry under the "Power of Nature, Power of Gems & Jewelry" theme presented by leading Thai models.
