ARLINGTON, Va., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The 58,000-square-foot "green roof park" atop the enclosed garage of The Millennium at Metropolitan Park will be the scene of the 'Party at the Park' to celebrate its grand opening, Saturday, June 26 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Live music, local vendors, a tricycle race, food, drink and a variety of fun activities, including Arlington's Top Dog Competition will be in full swing the entire afternoon, according to Karen A. Kossow, vice president of sales and marketing for Kettler Management who provides comprehensive property management services for The Millennium and The Gramercy, located next door.
"We think this free community event is a great way to showcase all that these exciting apartment communities offer, including that they are each pet-friendly, as well as to raise funds for the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation who will be the recipient of proceeds from the sale of beer and wine as well as from the Top Dog competition," Kossow said.
Bands performing throughout the afternoon will include Junk Food, Shag, Furious George and Road Soda. A 21-and-over beer garden, food from local vendors, pet adoption opportunities from the Lost Dog and Cat Foundation are just a few of the activities planned for the grand opening celebration. On Tap, the Washington, D.C. metro area's guide to music, entertainment, nightlife and culture is partnering with The Millennium on the "Party at the Park."
