PHILADELPHIA, June 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, July 4th, Philadelphia celebrates red, white, and blue... BIG! 6abc is the proud broadcast partner for the Wawa Welcome America! Festival, for the 22nd consecutive year, bringing the largest concert in America straight to your home!
Action News' Matt O'Donnell and Tamala Edwards kick off the morning with The Celebration of Freedom Ceremony, LIVE from Independence Hall, with patriotic music and readings at 10am. The Independence Day Parade spreads the patriotic spirit, as they march through historic Philadelphia.
At 7pm, the celebration continues with the 4th of July Jam! Action News' Rick Williams, Cecily Tynan, Karen Rogers and Adam Joseph take you center stage and behind the scenes as Philly's own The Roots rev up the crowd, along with Grammy Award-winning artists Miguel, Jennifer Nettles, and special performers MKTO and singer-songwriter Zella Day. The show ends with a fireworks finale in the sky above the Art Museum.
