7SIGNAL Crowdsources Wi-Fi Experiences from Around the Globe
LAS VEGAS, June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today from CiscoLive, 7SIGNAL The Wi-Fi Performance Company announced the release of Mobile Eye™ for Windows® and macOS®, software delivered as a service that crowdsources Wi-Fi experiences from laptop computers in organizations all over the world.
"Global enterprises have no visibility into how their employees experience the Wi-Fi network, which is why our solution complements wireless LAN solutions from Cisco so well," stated Tom Barrett, CEO of 7SIGNAL from the World of Solutions exhibit hall at CiscoLive in Mandalay Bay. "For example, only Mobile Eye for Windows and Mac gives insight and analytics into how different Wi-Fi devices with different hardware and software configurations roam differently in unique environments. Mobile Eye is in direct response to our customers who lack the systems to adequately manage and monitor Wi-Fi network performance and Wi-Fi network experiences across thousands of laptops around the globe."
Mobile Eye runs as a service on Windows and MacBook laptops and may be distributed to thousands of computers simultaneously with command-line scripts that deploy a self-installing package. Network administrators log into EyeQ™ hosted by 7SIGNAL in the cloud to centrally manage a custom test profile for all Mobile Eye enabled devices. Wi-Fi experience data is collected at predefined intervals, for example every 15 minutes, and results are send to EyeQ for analysis and reporting. Wi-Fi performance histories for all devices is stored for three months in the cloud.
"Mobile devices with their endless use cases reflect the individual, which is why crowdsourcing the Wi-Fi experience is so impotant to understanding current performance and critical to enhancing future performance. Stop by booth 408 if you're here so you can see how we are crowdsourcing Wi-Fi experiences from CiscoLive attendees right here in Las Vegas!" Barrett further stated.
