8th Global Film Festival Inaugurated With Great Pomp and Show

"The Global Film Festival Noida has become a real ambassador of Indian art and Culture. It has started attracting delegates from all over the world to be part of biggest festival of the biggest film industry of the World," said Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister for Art & Culture, Civil Aviation and Tourism, Government of India, who sent his wishes for the 8th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN), which was held from 17th - 19th November, 2015 at Noida Film City.

Mukesh Bhatt, renowned film director who was present at the occasion, said, "We must plan a film council under the umbrella of the government of India where all film related discussions can take place and the biggest film industry can be promoted to the best."

The festival comprised of 52 events inclusive of workshops, master classes, seminars, interactions, and entertainment program, fashion shows and award function. The screenings had been divided into 9 segments of foreign Cinema, Retrospective of Manmohan Desai, and Indian Contemporary Cinema, Romania Focus Country, AAFT Films, ASMS Films, films on Disability, Children section and Competition films.

Film lovers and film professionals and delegates from more than 30 countries had registered for the festival. GFFN is the biggest festival from this side of the world.
