McGloin Davenport has a rich tradition in the Denver area that dates back 40 years. The firm has established itself in a range of practices in multiple industry sectors, and has earned a reputation for building and sustaining long-term relationships with clients in the business community throughout Colorado and beyond.
Seven senior partners and two associates are joining Burleson: Michael M. McGloin, Gary C. Davenport, Robert M. Severson, Ronald J. Snow, John A. Murray, Krista L. Tushar, J. Randolph Earnest, Kyle W. Davenport, and Karl D. Kaesemeyer. They concentrate their practices in a wide range of areas including commercial litigation with an emphasis on oil and gas law; oil and gas transactions; corporate; tax; estate planning; antitrust; and real estate.
The addition of the McGloin Davenport attorneys brings to 41 the number of attorneys in Burleson's Denver office. The expansion marks the latest step in Burleson's growth, which in recent years has seen the opening of new offices across the country to serve the growing demands of companies with interests in U.S. shale plays, making Burleson the largest law firm in the country that focuses on energy.
"By combining the capabilities of the two firms, we are significantly expanding the skills, scope, and services critical to our clients," said Jack Luellen, Burleson's managing partner in Denver. "These are highly skilled, highly experienced lawyers who have a broad background working with companies in Colorado and throughout the Rockies, and a deep understanding of the issues they face. Their impressive track record speaks for itself, and both complements and leverages our existing strengths in the region."
Gary Davenport, shareholder and a senior member of McGloin Davenport, added, "In joining Burleson, we see an opportunity to help expand the firm's platform in the Rockies and nationally, and to further enhance what is already an exceptional energy practice. There is a tremendous synergy here that delivers added value and tangible benefits to clients that both firms serve."
Burleson Managing Partner Rick Burleson said the addition of these attorneys from a long-standing, well-established firm like McGloin Davenport further enables Burleson to continue its substantial, strategic growth in key regions of the United States.
"We are excited about our affiliation with the attorneys of one of Denver's leading law firms," said Burleson. "We have long admired their work and culture, and we share their commitment to being the preeminent energy law firm in the Rockies. With our combined capabilities and more diverse services, we will be in an even better position to handle the legal requirements of companies operating in Denver, the Rocky Mountain region, and nationally."
