The agreement allows Aastra to offer 911 Enable's Emergency Gateway (EGW) appliance to its customer base, making it easier for Aastra users to implement an end-to-end IP telephony system that includes the industry's most robust and reliable E911 capabilities.

The EGW is an on-site appliance that helps organizations simplify E911 management and meet state and local E911 legislation. Its key functions include automatic IP phone tracking and on-site security desk routing and notification. It is the only E911 solution on the market certified with Aastra Clearspan systems.
