FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- 9th Way Solutions, Fairfax VA, an emerging Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Chapman as President, providing strategic leadership across the service areas of Health IT, Enterprise Services, Cyber and Information Security, Systems and Program Management, and Data Analytics.

Central to Ms. Chapman's career has been managing the modernization of complex, business-critical, IT-enabled health and regulatory programs. Her federal technology experience includes having been Chief Information Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services, where she established the National Federal Health Architecture, a 26-agency partnership that resulted in shared, unified enterprise architectures across all health mission processes and technical reference models. She brings strong leadership skills as President of 9^th Way, managing large groups of staff performing multiple IT projects and leading teams to deliver government services worldwide.

Ms. Chapman's previous positions include Vice President of Business Development at Salient CRGT, where she provided leadership and domain expertise for the development of new health IT solutions, particularly regarding health data analytics; and Vice President at General Dynamics Information Technology, where she developed and executed a 3 year strategy for establishment and integration of the company's health IT organization, including development of new service offerings, adaptation of existing services, and identification of acquisition opportunities. Most recently, Ms. Chapman was named as one of the "Top 10 Health Care Leaders To Watch" by WashingtonExec.
