CHICAGO, Feb. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This February, Connie's Pizza is going to be delivering hearts all month long—heart shaped pizzas that is. To celebrate the month of love, Connie's will be offering customers festive pizzas in the shape of hearts, which will benefit the American Heart Association.
"Normally our heart shaped pizzas are used to show love for Valentine's Day, but this year we wanted to support a greater cause. A Heart For A Heart campaign seemed like a perfect fit for the American Heart Association," said Connie's President, Mike Stolfe.
It's important to remember that a heart isn't just a symbol of love, it's a symbol of life. Proper cardiovascular health education is a rudimentary building block in living a healthy lifestyle. Heart shaped pizzas will be available for purchase throughout the entire month of February. This isn't the first time Connie's has partnered with critical local organizations, having worked with the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation in October and Toys For Tots in December. "Chicago is where Connie's was born 53 years ago and we've been here ever since; it's important for us to help out the local community and the organizations within it," said Stolfe.
It doesn't always have to be flowers for Valentine's Day. A heart shaped pizza can go a long way and benefit many. This month, having a Connie's heart means helping another heart.
