Five months after launching, the independent social platform has attracted more than 74,000 users and is preparing for a larger push into the creator economy
FORT PIERCE, Fla., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Breaking into social media is notoriously difficult. Users already have established platforms, creators already have audiences, and the largest competitors have billions of dollars and years of head starts.
GoLive Streamers is betting there is still room for someone new.
Launched in April 2026, GoLive is an independent livestreaming and social platform built around a simple idea: make live interaction feel like a community rather than just another content feed.
Five months later, more than 74,000 people have registered for the platform.
"We didn't build GoLive because the world needed another app with an endless feed," said founder and CEO Tal Gilad. "We built it because live interaction is different. People aren't just watching content. They're talking, meeting people, building communities and actually becoming part of what is happening."
GoLive combines livestreaming with virtual gifting, creator monetization, live competitions, multi-user broadcasts and social discovery. The company has continued adding features based heavily on feedback from its growing community.
That approach comes as the broader social-app industry continues to change. Large operators are consolidating products, shifting resources and reevaluating individual social platforms, while creators and online communities increasingly depend on a relatively small number of major companies.
GoLive sees an opportunity in that disruption.
Rather than attempting to become another short-form video network, the company is focusing specifically on the part of social media it believes is difficult to replicate with an algorithm: real-time human interaction.
Early usage has extended beyond registrations. Since launch, GoLive users have opened more than 1.8 million sessions, started more than 76,000 livestreams and posted more than one million live comments.
But Gilad says those numbers aren't the company's end goal.
"People ask how we're going to compete with companies that are dramatically larger than us," Gilad said. "We're not trying to outspend them. We have to build faster, listen better and give creators and communities reasons to choose us."
GoLive is now moving into its next stage.
The company plans to expand creator recruitment, marketing and product development while continuing to build monetization opportunities for streamers. GoLive has also begun opening itself to outside investment as it looks to accelerate expansion beyond its initial launch.
For an independent startup entering one of technology's most competitive categories, the challenge ahead is significant.
GoLive believes that's also what makes the opportunity interesting.
