SEATTLE, April 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cadabra, LLC has launched a new website geared specifically for college communities and campuses. "CampusWall" (http://mycampuswall.com) features a separate and self-contained website for any college or university within the United States, wherein students can buy, sell, swap, and share goods and services. Using the "Craigslist" model of a relatively self-managed community, Cadabra has created a unique experience that is tailored to the typical college student.
"I saw a gaping hole in how online classified ads were structured when my daughters expressed to me how difficult it was to find roommates, rideshares, or student-specific goods through existing resources," says Tina Snyder, founder of Cadabra and visionary behind CampusWall.
Snyder saw an opportunity to dramatically improve and tailor an already successful concept, doing so in a way and at a time that would also benefit her own daughters and soon-to-be college-aged son. After developing the idea more thoroughly, she worked with a design firm to assist her in carrying out her vision.
"We get approached with what people think are breakout ideas on a regular basis, but it's rare to find someone with a truly clear vision, who also has the drive and skillset to carry it out," says Don Elliott, principal of Elliott Design, Inc. in Vancouver, Washington.
After a period of development, design, and refinement, CampusWall is accepting registrants from colleges and universities across the United States.
"We are working to build partnerships with these educational institutions to provide a safe and easy mechanism for exchange, and we're excited to get the word out about this beneficial service for college students and staff!" - Tina Snyder
