A#1 Air Partners with National Breast Cancer Foundation
Metroplex's largest A/C company and NBCF help conquer breast cancer
DALLAS, Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for all air conditioning and heating equipment sold, A#1 Air will donate a portion of its proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A#1 Air is also offering specials on security, plumbing and electrical equipment, with a portion of the proceeds going to the NBCF.
A#1 Air owners Sherry and James Green have made breast cancer awareness their mission, as James's mother Sherril has been a breast cancer survivor for six years. "We are so proud of my mother and her victory over breast cancer," James said. "We want to do everything within our power to help conquer this disease. The National Breast Cancer Foundation is an awesome resource for educating women on prevention and early detection."
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The National Breast Cancer Foundation's Early Detection mobile app enables women to be proactive about their health by scheduling routine breast self-exams, clinical breast exams and mammograms. It also allows women to input their zip code/city/state to find breast cancer clinics in their area, and offers many other helpful functions. In addition to a huge television and radio advertising campaign centered around breast cancer awareness, A#1 Air is also holding an online silent auction for a complete Daikin 16-SEER air conditioning and heating system with a 12-year parts warranty. The winner will be announced on October 28th.
Other activities this month include "Comfort for a Cause Selfies," in which A#1 Air will donate $5.00 to NBCF for every customer selfie posted with an A#1 Air technician to any of their social media channels that includes the hashtag #ComfortForACause. There will also be a company party with a bake sale, "Dunk the Bosses" dunk tank, car wash, cooking contest and much more, with proceeds from these events going to NBCF.
