A24 Media and Yali Ink New Media Partnership

Africa24 Media is proud to announce a new media partnership with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Leadership Centre East Africa. The YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa's mission is to enhance youth leadership opportunities in East and Central Africa. This partnership outlines Africa24 Media's support for President Obama's Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), a signature effort of the U.S. Government intended to invest in the next generation of African leaders, and to help them spur economic growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across Africa. Africa24 Media will be seeking to share our respective strengths and resources to promote the centre.
Africa24 Media will bring its unique media skills, talent, pan-African reach and unparalleled content archive to help promote the center, its impact, and the success of its participants throughout the region and the continent in order to tell the "good news" story of Africa; Africa24 Media will cooperate with YALI to establish curriculum and media opportunities to promote the center and Africa24 Media, as well as build the individual capacity of YALI graduates; and help provide opportunities for youth in Central and East Africa to access on-line training and curriculum resources through Africa24 Media's connection with the center's U-Learn/U-Connect portal.
Using our unique platforms and shows like The Scoop, Africa24 Media will tell the inspiring stories of the YALI Regional Leadership Centre East Africa graduates, their journeys and challenges, their hopes and ambitions for the future of our Continent. We will travel with them as they take what skills and contacts they obtain from YALI and apply them to solving leadership, social, technological, health, environmental and community problems in their own countries.
