Abundant Venture Partners Welcomes David R. Strand as Operating Partner

CHICAGO, April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dedicated to improving the human condition, Abundant Venture Partners is adding a new partner to its leadership team. David R. Strand will join the Chicago-based investment firm as operating partner, leading Abundant's investments in the human performance space. He will work across Abundant's companies, including serving as interim CEO of Life Cross Training, a training and wellness company in the portfolio.

Strand brings three decades of healthcare experience to Abundant Venture Partners, where he will lead investments in human performance and wellness companies.

David brings over 30 years of innovative, entrepreneurial healthcare leadership experience to Abundant, across a variety of both early stage companies and established health care institutions.

He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of the Cleveland Clinic and Allina Health System. David began his career as outside counsel to United HealthCare, from its formation through its IPO and acquisition of its national network of HMOs.
