After a comprehensive review, AdvancED Accreditation Commission has confirmed that the Academies of Greatness and Excellence (AGE) School System has earned the distinction of accreditation and becomes the first Islamic school system (pre-K to 8th grade) to earn this distinction in the United States (US). Currently, the system includes two faith based schools located in New Jersey (NJ). The first school is the Academy of Greatness and Excellence located in Teaneck, NJ. The other affiliated school is Al-Ghazaly School located in Jersey City, NJ. The AGE School System is in the process of expanding to open another school in Hudson County, NJ.
This exciting news comes after a recent announcement by Zaytuna College, a liberal-arts school based in Berkeley, California, that it was formally accredited making it the first officially recognized Islamic institution of higher learning in the United States.
Officials from AdvancED Accreditation Commission will be recommending full accreditation after highlighting AGE's strengths on multiple indicators. AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world.
