Academy Sports + Outdoors announces celebrity athlete lineup for its five-day "Party for the People" at local New Orleans stores

KATY, Texas, Jan. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Academy Sports + Outdoors (d/b/a Academy) kicks off its "Party for the People" today with the announcement of celebrity athlete appearances at its New Orleans-area stores this week leading up to the big game. All events are free and open to the public.

Fans in the area will get their chance to meet Saints stars Mark Ingram, Jimmy Graham, Hall-of-Famers Deion Sanders, Rickey Jackson, and San Diego Chargers great LaDainian Tomlinson. Academy will also partner with Under Armour this week to donate all new weight room equipment to Edna Karr High School and a new scoreboard to Behrman Football Stadium. A celebratory pep rally will be held at Edna Karr on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m. featuring a special appearance by Deion Sanders.
