Academy Sports + Outdoors extends partnership with Atlanta Braves ahead of Opening Day and announces two new stores in Atlanta area

KATY, Texas, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Academy Sports + Outdoors (d/b/a Academy), a premier sports, outdoor and lifestyle retailer, today announced the renewal of its multi-year partnership with the Atlanta Braves. Academy also announced the opening of two new stores: Cartersville, Ga. on April 11 and Douglasville, Ga. on May 2.

Academy Sports + Outdoors began its partnership with the Braves 6 years ago. Today, Academy has six stores in the area located in McDonough, Snellville, Cumming, Hiram, Athens, and Newnan. Following the opening of the Douglasville store in May, Academy will have opened eight stores in the Atlanta metro area in the past four years.
