Academy Sports + Outdoors to open first store in Denton, TX and extends partnership with the Dallas Cowboys

KATY, Texas, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Academy Sports + Outdoors (d/b/a Academy), a premier sports, outdoor and lifestyle retailer, announced that it will open a new store in Denton, TX at Rayzor Ranch Marketplace this Fall. The company has also renewed its multi-year partnership with the Dallas Cowboys.

Academy's Denton store will be approximately 72,000 square feet and create approximately 150 jobs. The store will provide many services including assembly and delivery, an archery lane, digital golf simulator, hunting and fishing licenses, scope mounting, bore sighting, line winding/spooling, propane exchange and racquet stringing and will have a broad selection of local team gear that customers have come to expect. Academy is committed to offering the best brands at low prices – everyday. If customers find a lower price elsewhere, Academy will match that advertised price at any of its stores.
