FORT MYERS, Fla., Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AccuData Integrated Marketing, a leading full-service database marketing firm today announced that it signed an acquisition agreement with Compact Information Systems, a national provider of direct marketing databases. Following the transaction, AccuData will remain a separate operating entity that continues to deliver to clients its same proven set of data assets, marketing analytics and database marketing technologies.
The deal provides AccuData with an infusion of capital and technology to help fuel its expansion efforts, as well as the addition of industry leadership from Rich Lancaster, the company's new CEO. Since 2009, the company has been under interim management by a team of private equity firms.
"AccuData has been poised to accelerate its growth," said Rich Lancaster, CEO, AccuData Integrated Marketing. "This opportunity provides exactly the right combination of financial and technical resources, and industry leadership that will help move AccuData to the next level and deliver even stronger results for our clients."
No Changes in Headquarters, Staff or Client Teams
AccuData, which will remain headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, does not anticipate any staff reductions or organizational changes as a direct result of the transaction – beyond the addition of Mr. Lancaster, who will replace the interim managers. These interim managers will remain at AccuData for a few months to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, client account teams and contacts will remain unchanged.
"Compact's goal is to help AccuData thrive and continue to offer its clients industry leading database marketing services," said Pat Wiley, Founder and President of Compact. "Since AccuData and Compact have had a very positive partnership since 2007, we anticipate the transition to be extremely smooth."
AccuData's existing management team will now be lead by Mr. Lancaster, who joins the company from Compact, where he was CEO. With more than 25 years of experience within the database marketing, printing, software and telecommunications industries, Mr. Lancaster has held management positions at companies such as Dun and Bradstreet, Equifax/InfoLink, Consolidated Printing Graphics and Nextel.
As part of the deal, AccuData will now have access to Compact's industry leading application development team which is known for its work in creating the company's world-class online count and order, and mapping (Geographic Information System) solutions.
