AccuFund's Latest Upgrade to Accounting Suite Introduces Travel Advance Management, Work Order Enhancements and Numerous Others Features

NEEDHAM, Mass., Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AccuFund, Inc., provider of financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and government organizations, today announced the availability of Version 5.02 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite. With this latest release, AccuFund introduces the new Travel Advance Management module and major enhancements to the Work Order module. AccuFund has also added new features to the Core System and several modules, including Payroll year-end processing, Utility Billing, Task Scheduler and the Standard Report Writer.

The Travel Advance Management module tracks all employee travel and expense requests, making it easy to manage and reconcile all requests. Approved requests are processed for payment of advances and reconciliation of completed travel, with all accounting performed in the background. Once a travel advance is entered and approved, it automatically feeds a bill to Accounts Payable. When the detail on the advance is entered during reconciliation, the user can indicate if it was paid by company credit card so it is only recorded and not counted towards the reconciliation. After the reconciliation is completed, the system will generate an Accounts Payable entry if the employee spent more than the advance or an Accounts Receivable entry if the employee owes the organization money, clearing the advance account.

The Work Order module in the AccuFund Accounting Suite has added departmental security, department fields for filtering work orders by department, and the ability to control who can initiate work orders versus modify them.

• Year-End Payroll processing – Enhanced functionality for W2 corrections that enables better workflow and tracking of corrections made after distribution for W2s.
  
• Standard Report Writer – Ability to group dates easily for doing agings, allowing the user to quickly set up groupings by date or by month or quarter, and with groupings available as default fields in a number of areas in which organizations typically want to do agings.
  
  Standard Report Writer also now enables users to group and report items by type (e.g., paid amount, owed amount and balance). Types are user-defined and columns with all the types are automatically generated based on what was defined.
  
• Utility Billing – Ability to include usage history graphics in billing statements.

Version 5.02 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite also offers new features and enhancements to Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Cash Receipts, Client Accounting, Financial Reports, Fixed Assets, Payment Portal, Payroll, Property Taxes, Purchase Orders, Representative Payee, and Time Clocks.

The AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 5.02 is available both for on-premise licensing as well as a cloud solution on a monthly subscription basis. The cloud solution includes backup, upgrade and disaster recovery features to free clients to focus on their mission.
