- Ex Cable & Wireless Bulldog CTO to Drive Forward Acision's Technical Innovation
Acision, the world's leading messaging company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stefano Cantarelli as CTO. With more than 20 years' technical experience working for leading blue chip telecommunications brands including Ericsson, Lucent Technologies, Cable & Wireless and Vodafone, Stefano's high level of knowledge and expertise will be an invaluable asset to Acision, as it continues to drive technical innovation and expand its market share as partner of choice for its global customer base.
Prior to his appointment at Acision, Cantarelli held the position of Vice President, Networks at Ericsson UK, where he drove the company's Network Transformation Programme, overseeing the transition of its business approach from mobile voice supplier to full service broadband provider. His previous experience includes CTO, Cable & Wireless, where he ran the operations of its ISP, Bulldog, before latterly becoming the company's COO, playing an integral role in its strategic transformation from retail to wholesale. Cantarelli also held directorship roles at the UK and Italian arms of Vodafone, with his primary area of responsibility involving designing and operating mobile network infrastructures and, in particular, the building of mobile data networks and 3G/IP solutions for the consumer and enterprise markets.
