
Funding awarded to outstanding students at Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science
NEW YORK, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ACORD, the data standards-setting body for the global insurance industry, today announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarship fund at the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science at St. John's University.
The ACORD scholarship is awarded to undergraduate and/or graduate students based on both merit and financial need. ACORD has supported the scholarship fund at the Greenberg School since 2020 as part of its commitment to developing the next generation of insurance professionals.

The 2026 ACORD scholarship recipients are:
- Alessandra Avila, B.S. candidate in Actuarial Science
- Jhaeden Daniel-Francis, B.S. candidate in Risk Management & Insurance
- James Farrell, B.S. candidate in Actuarial Science
- Tai Hong Kim, M.B.A. candidate in Risk Management & Insurance
- Brennan Valane, B.S. candidate in Actuarial Science
