ACS Athletics and Front Rush Agree to Merger

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ACS Athletics, the leader in college athletic administration and compliance software, and Front Rush, the leader in recruiting software for college coaches, announced today a merger that will make their joint entity the largest provider of technology for recruiting, compliance, roster management and sports operations.

The merger joins two leading software companies to create an enterprise that is highly competitive across all classifications of college sports in North America.  The resulting company will provide the robust features and deep integration with campus information systems that athletic administrators need, combined with the most highly reviewed coach experience of any vendor in the market.  The new company will have a larger customer roster than all other vendors in the space combined, with nearly 10,000 teams at more than 1,200 colleges and universities across all levels of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Junior College Athletic Association. 

Brad Downs, Chief Executive Officer of Front Rush and Phillip Engle, Chief Executive Officer for ACS Athletics will jointly oversee the integration of the two companies' product and service offerings. The new company has plans for a united experience for all users that draws on the more than 27 years of combined experience in software for college athletics.  ACS customers will have greater access to recruit data and evaluation tools for coaches through Coach Packet and Front Rush customers will be able to add compliance monitoring powered by ACS in time for the Summer of 2017.  An expanded integration with campus information systems for compliance administrators through Front Rush's FRPass product will also be available and Front Rush customers will be able to add ACSEquip to help with equipment and apparel ordering and inventory by the end of 2016.
