Active Navigation Receives U.S. Army's Certificate of Networthiness (CoN)
RESTON, Va., July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Information Governance (IG) software company Active Navigation today announced it had been awarded a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) to provide its IG solution on the U.S. Army's Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet) program.
The CoN accreditation confirms that Active Navigation meets U.S. Army and Department of Defense (DoD) rigorous standards for security, compatibility, supportability and sustainability. The authorization is a requirement for all enterprise software products in the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network. The CoN is concerned with the identification, measurement, control, and minimization of security risks and impacts in IT systems to a level commensurate with the value of the assets protected.
The CoN accreditation is required by all enterprise software products deployed within the U.S. Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network and applies to all divisions of the U.S. Army as well as National Guard, Army Reserve and some DoD organizations.
Receiving the CoN is a testament to the veracity and robustness of Active Navigation's data management solutions. With Active Navigation, the U.S. Army can identify and delete obsolete data, tag critical data, and better manage their overall data estate and architecture. The solution will cut costs considerably as it significantly reduces the amount of data to be stored and the time to manage and govern it.
"We are pleased to have secured this accreditation and continue to be a provider of choice for advanced Information Governance and File Analytic solutions by the U.S. Army," said Peter Baumann, CEO, Active Navigation. "Our solutions are instrumental in helping government organizations to manage and migrate important information efficiently and cost effectively."
