ANAHEIM, Calif., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Adcraft Labels is proud to announce that it has won 14 "Print Excellence Awards" from the Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC). The competition showcases and honors the work of top printing companies throughout Southern California. To be recognized as a winner in this elite group of manufactures is a great accomplishment.
Adcraft received two Best of Category awards acknowledging exemplary work in developing high quality flexographic printing. The first was awarded in the Specialty Inks or Coatings, Fragrances, or "Invisible" Printing Inks category. The judges were impressed with the custom metallic purple ink, the two black inks, the two-part varnish, both matte and tactile, and foil overprint that were all produced in-line, and in one pass.
The second Best of Category award was in the Labels and Wraps – Rolled Products/Pressure Sensitive category. The judges commented that it was a nicely executed complex project using several production techniques. They even said, "Flexo production has come a long way!"
The Best of Category is awarded to the most outstanding piece in each category. In order to win the entry must be flawless. In addition to winning the PIASC competition, Adcraft's Best of Category winning entries will be entered into the Printing Industries of America international "Premier Print Awards" competition to be held in September in Orlando, Florida.
Adcraft also received 12 additional awards in this year's competition. These were for labels, flexible packaging and extended content labels (ECL). All of the 14 awards were for products in the Personal Care and Nutraceutical markets and used a combination of complex embellishments. It is important to note that these awards are given to entries that deserve recognition for their high level of quality in printing and design.
