GREAT FALLS, Mont., June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Workers at ADF International Incorporated in Great Falls, Montana ratified their first U.S. collective bargaining agreement with the Iron Workers Union in late May, 2016. Workers at the over 150 employee fabrication and paint production facilities overwhelmingly ratified a contract that provided fair wages, union security, health insurance, a 401-K and pension. The agreement covers nearly all employees at both facilities including ironworkers, production workers, welders, fitters and drivers.
ADF International works on the fabrication of steel structures and construction components. ADF's parent company is ADF Group, Incorporated based in Quebec, Canada.
The Iron Workers Union represents 130,000 workers in North America.
The union's Shop Director John Bielak said the Iron Workers Union is committed to a strong partnership with ADF for the future and stated, "This first contract is a great leap forward for good jobs in the state. It guarantees the dignity of the workforce and honors the skills and ability these workers bring. We are honored to represent this workforce." According to local representatives for the Iron Workers, "ADF is growing and hiring. Anybody who wants a good career with excellent wages and benefits, including the Shopmen's Union pension and a 401-K, should come apply. We expect these will be some of the best jobs in Big Sky Country."
