WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) is pleased to announce that Amanda R. Ragula, CPA, has been named chief financial officer for the organization, effective October 15.
Ragula has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, financial management, and auditing. Most recently, she served as director of finance for the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) and its foundation, overseeing financial operations for the two organizations, which had a combined budget of approximately $10 million. In that role, she redesigned budgeting and financial reporting processes, strengthened internal controls, and developed cash flow models for cash flow projections and long-term planning.
Before ACMG, Ragula served as director of accounting for Community Change and Community Change Action, where she led improvements in financial operations for organizations with a combined budget of $50 million. She brought previously outsourced accounting functions in-house and automated financial processes. Earlier in her career, she was a founding member of Alta CPA Group, an Annapolis, Maryland-based CPA firm where she worked extensively with nonprofit organizations.
As ADLM's chief financial officer, Ragula will serve on the executive leadership team and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. She also will work with ADLM leaders to evaluate investments in programs and operations.
"Amanda brings a strong record of driving financial innovation and strengthening operations within nonprofit organizations," said ADLM CEO Melanie J. Wells, MPH, CAE. "She has a talent for translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that help leaders make sound decisions. Her expertise in improving financial operations and managing costs will be invaluable as ADLM plans for the future."
"I'm excited to join ADLM and contribute to its work in laboratory medicine," Ragula said. "I've always believed that finance teams should be accessible and responsive to the people running an organization's programs. I look forward to getting to know my colleagues, understanding their needs, and helping them make the best use of ADLM's resources."
Ragula is a certified public accountant in Maryland. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Towson University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Pennsylvania State University.
