Admeld Debuts Industry's First Market Sizing of Real-Time Bidding (RTB) at Partner Forum
Forrester Analysts Present Study, Join Key Publishing and Advertising Executives to Discuss Evolution of Digital Media
NEW YORK, Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Admeld, the company that helps the world's top online publishers sell ads smarter, today debuted the industry's first market sizing study about Real-Time Bidding (RTB) at its Annual Partner Forum. The study, presented by Forrester analysts Michael Greene and Joanna O'Connell, reveals that $353 million was spent via RTB in the United States in 2010, and projects the figure will more than double to $823 million in 2011. The report is available in its entirety at www.admeld.com
"In order to make the best decisions, we think it's important for the industry—and publishers in particular—to have access to reliable quantitative data about RTB," said Michael Barrett, CEO, Admeld. "Though the figures from the Forrester report are focused on the US, Admeld has seen a strong correlation between growth in the US and other media-rich countries. For instance, over the past six months on our platform we've seen a four-time RTB spend increase in the UK and a 12-time RTB spend increase in Germany."
In addition to the Forrester report, topics for the day's forum include strategies for audience and data monetization, building the sales organization of the future, the emergence of mobile RTB, the evolving roles of demand-side platforms (DSPs) and ad agency trading desks, and more. The forum also features a broad range of publishing and advertising executives, including:
- Stephanie Bauer Marshall, head of mobile marketing, Verizon Wireless
- Adam Cahill, EVP & co-director of media, Hill Holliday
- Matthew Greitzer, co-founder, Accordant Media
- Nick Johnson, SVP of digital media sales of NBC Universal
