LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Adrian J. Adams has been invited by the South Coast Homeowners Association to be the key note speaker at their fall meeting October 17, 2011 at Encina Royale Clubhouse in Goleta, CA. The focus will be on homeowner association board and management education and Mr. Adams will focus on:
- The use (and misuse) of email in conducting association business;
- The use of alternative dispute resolution services both internally and in lieu of the court system;
- Following, there will be question and answer session.
South Coast Homeowners Association was formed in 1988 and serves as an important source of information for board members and managers throughout the Central Coast. It has been the goal of the Association to provide quality educational forums on a regular basis as well as distribute timely information to its members in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties via their periodical newsletter. Since their formation sixteen years ago, there has been a steady increase in its membership, counting in at over 135 associations. They are also responsible for a large growth in board member awareness on special interest topics.
Mr. Adams is the managing director of Adams Kessler PLC, a law firm with a state-wide practice representing residential and commercial associations as well as resort and retirement communities. He currently is on the Board of Directors of the CIDLAW Organization and previously served on Los Angeles and Orange County chapters of the Community Associations Institute. In addition, his firm provides mediation services to community associations under the direction of retired Judge Lawrence W. Stirling, the firm's senior counsel and author of the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act (Civil Code section 1350, et seq.).
