ADT Commercial Achieves Cisco Premier Certification in Canada

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ADT Commercial, the industry's leading security systems integrator in North America, announced today that it has achieved Premier Certification and Video Surveillance Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco® in Canada. To earn Premier Certification, ADT had to meet high standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction set forth by Cisco®.

The ATP designation recognizes ADT as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to design, resell, install and maintain a full range of video surveillance and access-control solutions.

Cisco® physical-security solutions provide network-centric capabilities to video surveillance, Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, electronic access control and other groundbreaking technologies by converging voice, data and physical security into a single appliance.  This enables customers to preserve existing investments in analog-based technology and to use the network as a platform upon which more collaborative and integrated physical-security systems can be built.

To reach Cisco® Premier Certification, ADT was required to achieve the Cisco® Express Foundation Specialization. This specialization includes tests on technical competency in the integration of basic routing and switching, wireless LANs, and security technologies. In addition, ADT was required to integrate a base level of Cisco® Lifecycle Services into its offerings and demonstrate measurably high levels of customer satisfaction based on independently audited customer satisfaction surveys.  

To qualify for the Video Surveillance ATP Program, ADT had to meet a number of requirements, from having staff members who fulfill specific job responsibilities to achieving the Cisco®.   Express Foundation Specialization. Those requirements are designed to help a partner maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
