Shares of FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ: FCEL) were up 5.51% to $1.34 in afternoon trading Wednesday after fellow fuel cell maker Ballard Power Systems  (NASDAQ: BLDP)  announced a new $80 million deal with Volkswagen  (VLKAY).  Ballard said it had signed a Technology Solutions transaction with Volkswagen for the transfer of auto-related fuel cell intellectual property and a two-year extension to their engineering services contract.   The engineering services contract between Ballard and Volkswagen includes the design and manufacturing of fuel cell stacks. Arotech Corporation (NASDAQ: ARTX) in January announced that its Power Systems Division has recently received $17 million in new orders for batteries and power systems.  Approximately $10 million of the orders was from a foreign Defense Ministry for military batteries and chargers for tactical communication systems. The remaining $7 million was for batteries and chargers for a variety of customers. $1 million worth of the orders has already been delivered.
