OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Say No to SQ 776 Campaign Committee will host press conferences in Oklahoma City and Tulsa this week to launch its "Think Twice Oklahoma" campaign.

The campaign will highlight the hidden agenda behind State Question 776, which seeks to insert the death penalty into the Oklahoma State Constitution. Representatives of an expanding coalition will speak in front of court houses to highlight the attack by the legislature on the power of the Oklahoma Judiciary to interpret Oklahoma law with respect to capital punishment.

"First, the death penalty is not under threat and we don't need it in our state constitution," said Oklahoma Libertarian Party Chair Tina Kelly. "Further, State Question 776 asks us to put language in the Oklahoma constitution that circumvents the traditional and historic duty of one branch of government to exercise its authority to check and balance another branch.
