Aegis Hires Over 600 Military Veterans and Their Spouses in USA

DALLAS and MUMBAI, India, January 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Aegis Limited, a global outsourcing and technology services company, announced today that it has hired more than 600 US military veterans and spouses during 2013. Much of this hiring has taken place at Aegis' centers in Killeen, Texas and Sierra Vista, Arizona, which are adjacent to US military bases.

At the company's Killeen center, located a few miles from the largest domestic US military base, Aegis hired 202 veterans (12% of all hires), 36 different abled veterans (2%) and 299 military spouses (18%). Of the 183 hires at the company's Sierra Vista Center, 8 were veterans (3%), 27 were different abled veterans (11%), and 25 were military spouses (10%).

In 2012, the company also received a letter from the Executive Director of the Joining Forces Initiative, operating out of the Office of First Lady Michelle Obama, commending Aegis for their commitment to hiring military veterans and their families. Aegis was also one of the founding members of the jobs4America coalition, pledging to create thousands of jobs in its centers. Today the company is one of the largest employers in nearly every US city in which it operates.
