Aerotek Named Largest U.S. Staffing Firm in Several Skill Segments

HANOVER, Md., Aug 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent reports by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) have named Aerotek^® Inc. as the largest U.S. staffing firm for clinical and scientific, office and clerical, industrial, and engineering jobs.

Aerotek ranked as the largest staffing firm for the engineering and clinical and scientific industries for the second and fourth years, respectively. In addition, the leading provider of recruiting and staffing services moved from the No. 2 to No.1 ranking in both the industrial and office and clerical segments. Aerotek was also named the seventh largest staffing firm in finance and accounting.

The following are highlights of additional market share data by industry released by SIA.

The 18 staffing companies on the SIA 2013 list of largest U.S. engineering staffing firms combined to generate $4.9 billion, which accounts for about 66 percent of the total market.
The 15 companies included on the SIA 2013 list of largest U.S. clinical/scientific staffing firms generated $1.5 billion, or 75 percent of the total market.
The 31 staffing companies on the SIA 2013 list of largest U.S. industrial firms generated $17.3 billion, which makes up 62 percent of the total market.
The 14 staffing companies on the SIA 2013 list of largest U.S. office/clerical staffing firms account for $7.5 billion, or 42 percent of the total market.

Companies included on the 2013 SIA annual lists could provide their 2012 revenue numbers via an online survey in February and March of 2013.
