Afero Appoints Michael Maia as Global Head of Sales & Marketing

LOS ALTOS, Calif., Feb. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Afero, the turnkey IoT platform that brings secure and reliable connectivity to any product, announces the appointment of Michael Maia as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Maia will oversee the scaling of the platform in domestic and international markets. His appointment comes when the Internet of Things is growing rapidly, with Machina Research projecting that IoT will drive $3 trillion in revenue by 2025.

Maia was Vice President Worldwide Sales at Synaptics, a human interface solutions developer for smartphones, tablets, and notebook platforms. Prior to this, he held various senior-level positions at Validity Sensors, Invensense, PortalPlayer – the leading SOC supplier for the iPod, National Semiconductor, and Cirrus Logic.
