Affinity Health Plan Announces Leadership Transition, Reaffirms Commitment to Accessible, Quality Health Care
Established succession plan names current CFO Glenn MacFarlane next President and CEO; executive leadership team remains in place
BRONX, N.Y., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Affinity Health Plan's Board of Directors announced today that Bert Scott will resign as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 31, 2014, after leading the nearly 30-year old organization since 2012. In an established leadership succession plan, Glenn MacFarlane, Affinity's current Chief Financial Officer, will assume responsibilities as President and CEO on January 1, 2015.

Ms. Greenland said the Board affirms its support of the leadership team, which will soon be led by Mr. MacFarlane. "Appointing Glenn to CEO creates a seamless leadership transition," Ms. Greenland remarked. "Bert hired Glenn soon after he joined Affinity, and Glenn has played major leadership roles in recent product launches, network expansions, and revenue growth. Mr. MacFarlane assumes the role of President and CEO on January 1, 2015. At that time, Affinity's current Controller, Shaunte Tucker, will assume the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Tucker, who joined Affinity in August 2014, has more than 15 years of experience in finance in the managed care industry.
