"100,000 Strong: Better Aging Together" campaign will feature reader stories, new survey results on aging priorities and concerns, and partnership opportunities for brands serving older adults
NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- agebuzz, a free, human-curated digital destination that helps older adults and their families navigate aging with confidence, clarity, and curiosity, today announced it has reached over 100,000 subscribers. Through its popular weekly newsletter and website, agebuzz delivers up-to-date, evidence-based content alongside practical resources and trusted shopping recommendations for navigating the realities of aging.
The milestone comes after a period of rapid growth driven largely by readers seeking and sharing trusted information about aging. For agebuzz, that growth reflects a broader unmet need for accessible, current, and credible resources designed specifically for older adults and the people who care for them.
To mark the milestone, agebuzz is launching "100,000 Strong: Better Aging Together," a campaign celebrating the insights, readers, and shared experiences that have shaped the agebuzz community. The campaign will include a special 100K newsletter edition, original reader insights on the topics aging adults care about most, and a new 100K Founding Partners opportunity for select brands and organizations aligned with agebuzz's mission.
"Reaching 100,000 subscribers is about much more than a number," said Connie Zuckerman, Co-Founder and Managing Editor of agebuzz. "It represents a community of people who are actively seeking thoughtful, trustworthy, and practical information about how to live well and how to navigate the challenges associated with aging. Our readers are engaged, curious, and deeply invested in better understanding what it means to grow older in today's world, and we are honored to be part of that conversation each week."
agebuzz is also releasing findings from survey insights exploring the priorities, concerns, and aspirations of older adults today. The survey results cover topics such as health, independence, finances, caregiving, technology, social connection/relationships, purpose, and longevity.
These survey results can help families, communities, healthcare organizations, media companies, and brands better understand the evolving needs of older adults.
In addition to celebrating its reader community, agebuzz is launching a limited 100K Founding Partners program for organizations that want to support the publication's next chapter. The program is open to select brands, nonprofit and healthcare organizations, institutions, and online platforms that address meaningful needs in the lives of older adults, including health and wellness, financial security, travel, technology, caregiving, aging in place, mobility and fall prevention, nutrition, lifelong learning, community connection, dating and relationships, and future planning.
Founding Partners will have opportunities to collaborate with agebuzz on initiatives designed to provide genuine value to its audience, including educational content, reader offers, webinars, expert Q&As, social media features, and other custom programs. Partnerships will be developed with agebuzz's editorial standards and reader trust at the forefront.
To support these collaborations, agebuzz is also introducing an updated partnership kit featuring current audience insights, reader research, sponsorship opportunities, and examples of ways organizations can meaningfully engage with the agebuzz community.
agebuzz will also select two mission-aligned nonprofit organizations for dedicated partnerships as part of the 100K initiative, with special partnership opportunities available to qualifying organizations.

Key Findings From agebuzz Surveys
Each week, agebuzz surveys its newsletter readers to better understand what matters to older adults today — from health and relationships to daily life, leisure, caregiving, financial concerns, and the realities of growing older. These ongoing polls offer a candid look at the priorities, experiences, concerns, and sources of joy shaping later life.
Recent findings include:
Relationships remain central to life as people age. Two-thirds of agebuzz survey respondents are grandparents, with many describing grandparenthood as an opportunity to provide love, companionship, and support without taking on the disciplinary role of a parent. As one reader shared, "I just love and accept them. I am not there to discipline or admonish. Just to be Nana."
Pets also play an important role in companionship and emotional well-being. About two-thirds of respondents own at least one dog or cat, and many describe their pets as family members and important sources of affection, comfort, and connection. One respondent described their dog as "my best medicine," while another wrote, "My fur family offers unconditional love and affection — so very needed as an older soul and caregiver."
Older adults remain active readers and library users. More than one-third of respondents still visit libraries to borrow physical books, while others use libraries for digital books, lectures, community programs, computers, internet access, and other resources. Two-thirds of respondents say they read books constantly, regularly, or at least monthly. One reader called their local library "a wonderful resource for reading, lectures and activities" and "a treasure in our community."
Family connection is frequent — and increasingly extends beyond in-person visits. More than half of respondents report connecting with family members at least once or twice a week, with some communicating three to five times a week or even daily. They maintain these relationships through a mix of in-person visits, phone calls, text messages, and email. As one respondent explained, "Even if we don't physically get together 3-5 times a week, we are in nearly daily contact via email, Messages, or phone calls."
Walking is a favorite way to stay active and connected. Sixty percent of respondents named walking outside as their favorite outdoor activity, highlighting not only its physical benefits but also its social and mental value.
Health and independence are among the greatest concerns associated with aging. When asked what worries them most, nearly half of respondents identified their physical health, cognitive health, or mental well-being. For many, those concerns are closely tied to maintaining independence. One 84-year-old respondent shared, "I am declining physically, and worry about my ability to remain independent."
Falls are a significant and often life-changing concern. More than half of respondents reported having experienced a fall. For some, the consequences included emergency room visits, surgery and rehabilitation, as well as an ongoing fear of falling again. One reader shared, "I had a serious fall and broke two bones in my spine. Have had two spinal surgeries. Am now very fearful of another fall."
Financial security and relationships are among the most common later-life regrets. When respondents were asked what they wished they had done differently, recurring themes included saving more for retirement, spending more time nurturing family relationships, and doing more to build and maintain friendships. Financial concerns often extend to loved ones as well, with one respondent sharing, "My spouse will be struggling financially after I pass."
Taken together, the findings reflect a generation that remains deeply engaged with family, community, learning and everyday life while also navigating significant concerns around health, independence, financial security and social connection.
