DAVIS, Calif., Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Agrinos, a leading biological crop input provider committed to improving the productivity and sustainability of agriculture worldwide, announces Jim Thompson has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Thompson will lead all finance and accounting activities for Agrinos' global commercial operations. He will also manage Agrinos' active investor relations programs. Thompson will serve on Agrinos' Executive Leadership Team as well as the Global Leadership Team, and will play a key role in executing the organization's strategic growth plan.

Helash adds that Thompson's financial leadership and ability to position dynamic technology companies for the future will be critical to Agrinos' long-term vision of providing sustainable agriculture solutions globally. He brings extensive experience in growth strategy, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions to his position at Agrinos.
Prior to joining Agrinos Thompson had served since 2000 as CFO for Gold Standard Diagnostics, which was recently acquired by Eurofins. Thompson holds a degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University and a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University. He will be based at Agrinos' Global Headquarters in Davis, Calif.
Thompson joins the team following the departure of former CFO John Janczak. "We thank John for his service to Agrinos and the core strategic initiatives he led as CFO over the past four years," said Helash. "His contributions have positioned Agrinos for continued future success."
