AIkido Pharma Inc. Announces Closing of $75 Million Bought Deal Offering of Common Stock
NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- AIkido Pharma Inc. (Nasdaq: AIKI) ("AIkido" or the "Company") today announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 46,875,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $1.60 per share. As previously announced, the Company has granted to the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to 7,031,250 additional shares of common stock at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions.
H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
The gross proceeds to the Company from the offering are $75 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
The offering was conducted pursuant to the registration statement on Form S-3 (File No. 333-238172), as amended, previously filed with and subsequently declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") on June 18, 2020.
