Ainel Sewell, MD, named Medical Director of Houston Methodist Breast Care Center at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital
HOUSTON, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ainel Sewell, MD, has been named the Medical Director of the Breast Care Center at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Dr. Sewell is a board-certified radiologist specializing in breast imaging. A native of Florida, she graduated cum laude from the University of Miami and received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She went on to complete her diagnostic radiology residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and a breast imaging fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Sewell says her goal is to reorganize and realign the care continuum for patients with the full spectrum of imaging services in a comprehensive breast care program model. She envisions a more streamlined diagnostic care pathway to include easy access to care, timely results to breast biopsy patients, and improved processes and communication with referring clinicians.
