GROWING LIBRARY OF EXCLUSIVE DRONE-THEMED ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING CONTENT
MINNEAPOLIS, June 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AIRVUZ (www.airvuz.com), the leading online community for sharing and viewing high quality drone video content, unveiled new upgrades to the AIRVUZ website including a user friendly interface and functions that will promote the growth of the community by facilitating interaction amongst site users. The site upgrade comes on the heels of the recent announcement of a partnership with "DRONED," the first national TV series to focus on the subject of drones that will premiere on Science Channel this summer. Users can upload their best drone footage on AIRVUZ to have the opportunity to have their content showcased on episodes of "DRONED."
Other milestones include the AIRVUZ Facebook page exceeding one million fans as well as continued expansion of AIRVUZ original drone-related programming which is available exclusively on the website.
The upgraded website includes a new user interface design which builds upon the best features of the original site, significantly faster page load speeds, a notification page to allow site users to see and respond to comments on their posted videos and to see new followers, a "Showcase" function that allows contributors to highlight their best content, and dynamic video download that adjusts resolution based on connection quality to optimize video playback speed. While the new site is fully responsive to all major mobile browsing platforms, AIRVUZ also plans to launch native code mobile apps later this summer.
The site features over two dozen categories of drone videos including Cities/Skyscrapers, Colleges/Universities, Drone Racing, First Person View ("FPV") Freestyle, Golf Courses, People (aka drone "selfies"), and Travel. Many of the world's top drone pilot/videographers, drone racers, and first person view ("FPV") drone freestyle pilots are active users of and content contributors to the site. In addition, the site has a special "Celebrities" category featuring drone videos posted by notables including two time Indy 500 champ Juan Pablo Montoya, Jason "Weeman" Acuna, "98 Degrees" member Jeff Timmons, Pirates closer Mark Malencon, musician Snoop Dogg, Food Network's Alton Brown, Olympian Warren Weir, TV star Norman Reedus and others.
AIRVUZ also continues to grow its slate of original drone-themed programming content, all exclusive to AIRVUZ, including "AirVuz News," "Droning America," Drone Dish," "Ryan's Ridiculous," and "YourVuz." Just last week, AIRVUZ posted the launch episode of "Behind the Goggles," a new web series featuring the world's top drone racing and FPV freestyle drone pilots and their video content.
"Since launching last year, our primary focus has been on building a community of active drone video contributors who recognize the value of the AIRVUZ platform to curate and promote some of the world's best user generated drone video content," stated AIRVUZ CEO & Founder Mike Israel. "With the upgraded website, our partnership with the 'DRONED' TV show, the continued growth of our social media following, and new original programming, AIRVUZ is positioned perfectly for the next phase of growth, which will include substantial growth of the site as a destination to view great content and online community for enthusiasts."
